El Campello Street Market

Parque Municipal,

December 5 to 8

In this fourth edition, there will be four days with the best foodtrucks, vintage market, children's performances and many free concerts, among which highlights that of Seguridad Social.

For the fourth time, the vans and caravans of the Alacant Street Market Tour will stop in El Campello. From December 5 to 8, people who gather at the Municipal Park will enjoy free pop-rock concerts and children's performances, a variety of vintage market stalls and, of course, a delicious street food proposal that will be offered by up to twelve original foodtrucks. In the musical section, the concert of the Valencian band that became popular in the 80s and 90s, Seguridad Social, will be one of the highlights of this street fair, which will feature up to seven concerts in total. Another of the live performances that as always will attract a large audience, and of all ages, will be that of Keeng, a Queen tribute band. This edition will also take into account the little ones, who will have fun with the storytellers of two authentic cracks, such as Alberto Celdrán and Alexandre Morera, and with the performance of the endearing Edy the Clown. As for the gastronomic offer, you can choose from a multitude of dishes from various parts of the world, such as Mexican tacos and nachos, international brioches, irresistible pizzas, creative hot dogs, Colombian arepas, Argentinean meat and dumplings, delicious Thai cuisine, burgers with special sauces and sweet flavors, such as crepes and waffles of real scandal.

Seguridad Social (Spanish pop-rock)

Seguridad Social is a Spanish rock band formed in 1982 by José Manuel Casañ in Benetúser, Valencia. The band evolved from the skatalitic punk of its beginnings to become a reference within “La Movida” of the 80’s and Spanish rock, but has also built bridges with Latin America or with rumba, without fear of mixing disciplines and without ceasing to be contentious. Among his best known songs are “Chiquilla”, “Comerranas” and “Quiero tener tu presencia”.

Dirty Phunky Club (Funk, disco and rock covers)

Dirty Phunky Club is a cover band of the best funk, disco and rock songs from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s, formed by great national musicians, such as Marcos Miranda on vocals and bass (Paradise Phantoms, Lo + Plus, Nawja Nimri), Alberto Marín on guitar (Mónica Naranjo, Def con dos) and Carlos Expósito on drums (Stravaganzza, Merche, Ramoncín, Mónica Naranjo). In their concerts, always of high quality and with a stunning image, you can listen to hits by artists such as Bee Gees, Chic, Michael Jackson, Daft Punk, Bruno Mars or Red Hot Chili Peppers, among many others.

Keeng (Tribute to Queen)

Keeng is a band formed by five experienced musicians that pays homage to one of the references of rock music of the 20th century. With their own style but respecting the essence of Queen, we will be able to listen to songs such as “We will rock you”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Crazy little thing called love” or “We are the champions”, among many others that have already become universal classics.

Alberto Celdrán (Storyteller)

Alberto Celdrán, from Alicante, is an actor, puppeteer, writer and theater director, with a great passion in oral storytelling. He is founder and director of the companies Fàbrica de paraules and Locos por el teatro, where he has directed and performed in some thirty productions. He is also creator and artistic director of the “Festival de Teatre per a la Infància de Sant Joan d’Alacant, Petit Teatre”. His performances, always full of illusion and magic, may include tales such as “The Three Bears”, “The Shoemaker and the Goblins”, “Uncle Wolf” or “Run, Run, Pumpkin”, among many others.
