Guardamar Street Market

Parque Reina Sofía,

from July 18 to 21

A great gastronomic offer of quality offered by our foodtrucks, free live music with two tributes, humor and children's performances.

From July 18 to 21, the Reina Sofia Park in Guardamar will host again one of the stops of the Alacant Street Market Tour, with two tribute concerts to two legendary bands: Siglo XXI (Mecano) and Control Stone (The Rolling Stones), on Friday and Saturday nights, both from 23:30h. There will also be space for local bands such as Circo, Ceres and Dr. B. López, which will perform on Thursday from 20h. The musical section will be completed by two dj's well known for their residence at Confetti Club in Alicante, such as Horacio and Yiorch, who will offer their indie/electro sessions after the tributes.

The gastronomic part will follow the line of the rest of the tour stops, with a multitude of food trucks that will delight us with flavors and smells from different parts of the world, in street food format: appetizing hamburgers, delicious hot dogs, tasty Colombian arepas, succulent Mexican tacos, exquisite Argentinean empanadas and meats, as well as dishes from the exotic Thai cuisine and, of course, delicious waffles and crepes.

The humor will be represented by the monologue of David Domínguez, on Sunday at 21:30h, and the little ones will enjoy the children's performance of Caperucita y Feroz, the same day at 20:30h.

Control Stone (Tribute to The Rolling Stones)

Control Stone is a rock band formed by musicians from several countries, which pays tribute to the legendary The Rolling Stones, still active. Since their formation in 2008, they have toured much of the national scene, always with the charisma of the Argentine Santi Stone, vocalist of the band, who in his eagerness to make his movements resemble those of Mick Jagger, it could be said that he even surpasses them… But Control Stone is much more than a tribute band, since they perform their own versions and adapt part of the lyrics of “their satanic majesties” with their personal stamp.

Siglo XXI (Tribute to Mecano)

Siglo XXI is a band from Alicante that pays tribute to Mecano, one of the most iconic Spanish pop bands of the 80s and 90s. The voice timbre of its singer, Rachel Santos, is very close to that of Ana Torroja, making us travel back in time to songs as well known as “Hoy no me puedo levantar”, “Perdido en mi habitación”, “Barco a Venus”, “Me colé en una fiesta”, “Ay qué pesado” or “Me cuesta tanto olvidarte”.

David Domínguez (Monologue)

David Domínguez is a comedian, presenter, showman, talk show host, entrepreneur and dad… that’s how he defines himself. After his previous activity as a businessman, away from the stage, one day he decides to become a stand-up comedian (to do what he likes the most), signing up for a contest and winning it. It would be the beginning of a successful career that has led him, since 2019, to tour the Spanish geography with his show “¿Seré yo raro?”, and that we can now enjoy with his new show “El raro de los 90’s”.
